25th birthday pictures

Here are the pictures as I promised.....

I wanted a smokey look for my eyes. So I used Loreal Wear infinite in Lush Raven, and Gosh effect powder in steel.
I used my concealer as a shadow base.
Applied the Gosh eyeshadow in steel, and later applied the Loreal lush raven. I used a combination fo different lipglosses on my lips.
If you are going for a smokey eye, it's best if your lips are not overdone(more like a nude lip colour).

I do apologize for the absence people! OMG! I haven't been here in like a month.

So many things/ events happened while I was away.

I clocked 25 on the 26th of June(it was just so so.......Ok I was almost depressed), but I later had a house party on the 4th of July.

All I can say is live everyday like it's your last, because you may not be here tommorow.

I do believe all is going to be well.

So I got to play with my blue eyeshadows about a week ago and did a runway look(naija flag inspired) on one of my classmates in school.
So what do you all think about the naija flag inspired look? My insrtuctor thought it was beautiful, especially with the white shadow in the middle.

Naija 4 life. (although you get on my nerves sometimes).

My top 5 beauty must haves

So my top five beauty must haves are:

1. lip balm(i can't stand dry cracked lips.......eeew!)
2. lip gloss(i'm always buying lip glosses and i don't know when i'm going to stop)
3. concealer(don't underestimate the power of a concealer. it covers those dark circles)
4. eyeshadows( i love the way they make your eyes pop)
5.cleansers and moisturisers( a girl needs to have a beauty regimen, but some girls don't have any and still have flawless skin. **rolls eyes**.

Review: Benefits Creaseless shadow= MAC sugarsweet Collection

I'm so glad its friday again. The week went by really fast though.
So I said I was going to do put up another review for the creaseless shadow in my last post.

I didn't get to buy one of the colours I blogged about because the store here didn't have those colours in stock, but i picked a really lovely colour in stiletto.


Benefits creaseless shadow

PROS
-beautiful packaging( the container can be used for your make-up samples or balm when it finishes)
-dries faster
-you can use your fingers to apply it on your lids
-creaseless
-highly pigmented

CONS
-you may need a concealer or cream shadow brush
-you may need a primer if you have very oily lids

This is definitely coppable(if there is any word like that....lol)


MAC Sugarsweet collection

I got the lipgloss in tasty and the eyeshadow in dear cupcake.

The lipgloss is of course shiny and longlasting and you may need a shadowbase for easy application( I usually use a creamshadow base). I lined my eyes with annabelle liner in meteorite.

Blogger for dummies+How not to look old

I'm so sorry I've been MIA. The past few days has been rather eventful, because I wrote an exam last saturday, had to work and also started my make-up school. The make up school has been amazing so far.


I seriously need blogger for dummies. I did a post on the review of the sugarsweet collection and the benefit creaseless shadow and everything disappeared... I was so pissed...

I will be travelling to toronto for the weekend so i won't be able to blog throughout the weekend as this is a much needed time-off. I'm just going to relax, shop and tour the city.Oh I can't wait!

Spring 2009 cream shadow liner+mac sugarsweet collection

Hey guys!

So Benefit cosmetics has a new cream shadow liner for spring. Although I'm not a big fan of cream shadows(cos they crease faster than the powdery ones), but this one promises to be a creaseless one. I plan to purchase one very soon. I hope it's a winner.

Their cream shadow liner comes in three different shades:
orchid shimmer
golden fawn and peach parfait.



The almighty Mac also has a spring collection.It's called the Sugarsweet collection. It was inspired by sugar sweet desserts and promises to give the tempting and frosty look. Hmmnnnnnnn!

It includes the Eyeshadow, sugarsweet shadestick,the 34 lash, zoom lash, lipstick,tricolour lipglass, mineralize skin finish, and nail lacquer.

The tricolour lipglass looks interesting and would probably lay my hands on one and definitely one of the eyeshadows.

So all you mac addicts can go cop one.

I know this isn't a make-up post, but it is cos i enrolled in a make-up school last week. i'm so excited about it. i can't wait! it starts at the end of the month.

The Maybelline lash Stiletto+Faces metalliglow.

I'm so sorry I haven't been able to blog for the past one month.
I've been so busy and I've been going through a lot lately. I hope to blog more regularly from now on......

While I was away, I deactivated my facebook account. I feel like I know too much about people even though i haven't seen them in so long. I find that I spend too much time on it( i still sign in with my sister's acct though).
Those facebook guys make you feel like you are leaving a part of you when you about to deactivate your account. It was crazy; I was having second thoughts about deactivating.

If i'm ever going to go back, it's going to be for business purposes.

So on to the main post of the day.....................

The lash stiletto is oh so awesome!
This mascara has so many benefits:
it conditions
Lengthens and safe for contact lens users
Can be applied once on your lashes and you'll still get the length you've always desired.
Can be easily removed.

The trick with the lash stilletto is, unlike most mascaras, you don't have to wait for it to dry before applying the second coat. You have to continue building till you get your desired length.

So I got to buy the metalliglow from Faces Cosmetics.I've been meaning to buy this product for the past few weeks, but i had been procrastinating about going to the mall.

This product comes in a small bottle and can be used as a bronzer, highlighter, eyeshadow, eyeshadow primer and can be mixed with your moisturizer. You can also dab on your face(mixed with your moisturizer)on those days you don' feel like wearing make-up and still have that sunkissed glow.




The metalliglow can be purchased on their website www.facescosmetics.com and the st.vital mall if you live in the cold city. I hope you get to like this products if you buy them.

I'm going to be doing an update on the lash stilleto by maybelline new york this week and any other product i can lay my hands on.

There are still some make up products i'm yet to try. In the year 2009, I'm going to try the red lipstick and artificial eye lashes(although i bought one but couldn't use it).I hope I will be able to do this.

Hello people!

I'm so glad it's friday again,cos i've had a very hectic week.

Here is a picture of me playing around with my Iman and Mac eye shadows last week.

I used the iman luxury eyeshadow( I so love Iman! Thank God for her) in emerald on the outer part of my lids and the mac sumptuous olive to line my eyes and all over my lids. I used my eyeliner brush to achieve that sharp mark.

Gosh cosmetics quattro eye shadow and cool lip jam

Hello people!

Introducing gosh cosmetics! I'm sure Gosh Cosmetics is not a well known cosmetic company in North America, although you can get their products here at some of the drug stores. It happens to be a Danish Company, and their prices are pretty reasonable too.

I fell in love with their products when i walked into a downtown Shoppers Drug Mart; I was particularly looking to buy a new mascara, because i was tired of the same old ones i had been buying.
Then my eyes caught the new make up stand they created and since then i had not looked back.

I purchased one of their numerous eyeshadows today and also the cool lip jam.i got the shadow in q23 goldfinger.

I wasn't particularly wowed by the shadows; i guess it's because i have gotten so used to the highly pigmented mac.

But i guess this particular one is supposed to give you that sheer and natural look. This shadow can be worn everyday,and to work.

Their cool lip jam is nice though and it has a candy like smell. The lip jam is more obvious in the first picture and the shadows in the second picture.

Their products can be purchased at Shoppers in Canada and i guess Sephora or Walgreens in the States.

For those of you that love Mac cosmetics;they have a new collection called the Dame Edna collection. The name ringed a bell when i first saw it on their website, then I later remembered she had made a couple of appearances on The Jay Leno Show.

For those of you not in the know; she happens to be a comedienne or something of that sort from Britain.

Anyhoo....I purchased one of the eyeshadow palettes from the collection and it is actually awesome. I never thought it would look great on me.It is also my first time buying something from their collection and also buying a palette.

I used the royal tour all over, followed by the climate blue on my lids, then the dame's desire on my brow bones.

I particularly love this because you can achieve different looks with it and also the fact that it comes in a very beautiful lilac case. You can go to the mac website to get more information on how to get these looks.
